"...one of the best novels I've read regardless of genre; it haunted me for several days after I read it. Read this novel regardless of your age; I doubt you'll be disappointed, and your mind may be stretched a bit. The final ten percent blew me away." —Piers Anthony, New York Times bestselling author of the Magic of Xanth (full review at HiPiers.com, July 2015 newsletter)

Everything changes for twelve-year-old Liam when a girl moves in next door. Madison is fifteen, pretty, and much weirder than she seems.

Sometimes when she's sound asleep, she scrawls a message on a notepad by her pillow. She finds these cryptic words when she wakes the next morning – a time and a place. But for what? Liam and best friend Ant join her when she goes hunting around a cemetery late one night, and life is never the same again...

So begins one freaky adventure after another involving all manner of aliens, monsters, and ghouls. SLEEP WRITER is the first in a wild sci-fi series by the author of ISLAND OF FOG.

Sleep Writer edition by Keith Robinson Children eBooks

Although this is a book meant for younger readers, I gave it a shot and loved it. It's about a teen boy whose new neighbor is a teen girl just a bit older than he. They hit it off right away, as do their families, and his best friend makes it a trio. The girl decides to let them in on a secret - she writes notes to herself while she's asleep. The notes are usually very cryptic and give a place and time. When she invites the boys along with her to follow the instructions in the latest note, they are all beyond surprised at what happens. This is an exciting thrill ride made better by the fact that they characters are young and willing to go where the adventure takes them.

Sleep Writer edition by Keith Robinson Children eBooks Reviews

I enjoyed this book. It's a page turner for sure. Fresh concept. I've read/watched hundreds of this genre but this idea is a first. I did find a couple mistakes, however, most people won't. Worthy of a read. Enjoy!
This book depicts three teenagers who find that alien encounters and time travel are not only real, but are frequent occurrences. Their tale is full of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing right up to the very end!
Liam and his buddy, Ant are befriended by Liam's new mysterious neighbor, Maddy. This is the beginning of an amazing ride, through wormholes and back and forward in time. Author, Keith Robinson, has spun an imaginative tale for young would-be space travelers and other young at heart adventurers. The story line is new. The writing well done and has left me with he desire to seek out the next tale.
I really didn't know what to expect from this book at first. I'm not really into sci-fi. But this story kept me reading way past bedtime! The characters are likeable and the author didn't bog the story down with a lot of weird names for places and creatures. I definitely recommend this book!
I was excited to get my hands on another Keith Robinson book! Island of Fog was one of those series of books that can make you feel you are part of it and it seems like Sleep Writer is a beginning to another one of those series. What an imagination this guy has...and the great thing is he writes so well,it is like watching a tv movie. All I can say to Mr. Robinson is....write FAST!!! I do want to add that in case an adult wonders if this book can entertain them...yes it can, I am a senior citizen and love these books!
I should really start reading the synopsis of books before I actually read the book. I thought this would be a paranormal/ghost story, but we are quickly introduced to aliens. What? Yup. It feels like the books I used to read in middle school; i.e. complex plots, but written with simple sentence structures and "small" words. However, I found it really interesting and might look into the second in the series.
Keith Robinson has apparently hit a home run with this sci-fi series! Friends Liam, Ant and Maggie are flying through worm holes and having all kinds of alien encounters while their parents remain essentially clueless— even when the roof of Liam’s house is shredded by an escaped, gargantuan space creature. Loved it!! ...Except it ended too quickly and a few prepositions were perhaps misused, or are they used correctly in Robinson’s neck of the woods?
